Here are the Canada Post rates for Smartmail Marketing in 2024. Rates are updated annually, and current rates were enacted on January 8, 2024.
The rates presented are the official Canada Post rates and include no markup. You should not be charged more than this from any company selling direct mail postage from Canada Post.

The $0.192 per address rate includes the $0.012 transportation fee that is levied on most mailings. Without the transportation fee added, Neighbourhood Mail postage is $0.180.
What
With Neighbourhood Mail, you can send unaddressed mail pieces to houses, apartments, farms or businesses. Mail pieces up to 6″ x 12″ and 50-grams* can be sent using standard Neighbourhood Mail. If you are sending larger items, you must use Oversized Neighbourhood Mail.
The cost includes using the Precision Targeter mapping data to target the right neighbourhoods. You can use Precision Targeter online on Canada Post’s website, or your mail house can do that on your behalf.
*It is possible to send heavier Neighbourhood Mail campaigns up to 500g per piece, but special approval is needed from Canada Post for every campaign that is over 50g. Talk to a Canada Post Smartmail Marketing Expert Partner for information and help with this process. Additional fees apply.
You can use the Oversized Neighbourhood Mail rate if you need to send larger, unaddressed mail pieces. This adds $0.01 to each house you deliver to, but you can send 11″ x 12″ items. The 50-gram weight limitation still applies.
