Save with a Brokerage Christmas Card Program – Here’s How it Works:

TL;DR – Group Buy Christmas Card Campaign

We are offering a program to Brokerages and larger real estate teams where you can group everyone’s Christmas Card recipient lists into a single campaign. This saves the agents money and allows those with smaller contact lists to send out personalized holiday cards using Canada Post. Agents can even create customized messages for their contacts. The program is a little complex, so we recommend contacting us to discuss the details for your brokerage.

Our annual Christmas Card campaigns are back! Starting October 11th, you can order your personalized Christmas and Holiday cards from PostNow. This year, we are introducing the ability for brokerages and real estate teams to do group buys on Christmas Cards where agents still get personalization capabilities, but you order a single campaign as the broker/manager. That saves everyone on their print while simplifying everyone’s life during the busy holiday season.

AGENTS COULD SAVE 50% OR MORE!
10 Agents ordering 150 holiday card campaigns = $2.27 per card if they order themselves. If the campaign is grouped into 1x 1500 card campaign, it would cost approx. $1.10/card . That’s a 52% savings on print! Note, postage is not included in the price presented, only print, design and personalization per agent.

Who is this for?

This is for Canadian Real Estate Brokerages or large teams. If your brokerage has many newer agents without large books of business or contact lists, a Holiday Card campaign using direct mail delivery is typically out of reach. You can offer this program to your agents and save them money and time while giving them a chance to build stronger relationships with prospects and their customers.

If you are a RE/MAX, TRREB, Century 21, or EXIT Realty Agent, we offer additional cost savings programs, including direct access to your Canada Post discounts.

Why should you do this?

Real estate is all about belly-to-belly interactions, and while it would be great to connect with everyone during the holidays, it is unrealistic. Getting a sincere holiday greeting card into the homes of your contacts is a great way to stay front of mind without needing to rely on sales pitches and tactics.

In the past, many agents avoided this because of the cost or time it takes to do it when you have 100+ contacts to send to. They know they should, but, there is always another barrier. By offering a program to your agents, you break down those barriers to successful relationship building.

Why PostNow?

Sure, you could do a Holiday Card campaign yourself. You just have to find enough cards that you like, write a message to every single person, stuff the cards into envelopes, fill out envelopes with addresses, lick stamps or fill out the “easy” Canada Post paperwork. If that sounds like a lot of work, that’s because it is!

We simplify all of those steps and save you on postage. Instead of stamps at more than $1 each, you can use the Personalized Mail rate of $0.525/house (even less if your company has a contract rate).

On top of that, we know the timelines and have the experience to complete these campaigns for your brokerage without error.

We think you’d be hard-pressed to find a reason not to do it with us VS. doing it on your own.

How does the Brokerage Christmas Card Campaign work?

This type of campaign is designed to maximize cost savings for clients. While some customization is removed on an agent-by-agent basis, we still allow custom messaging and back-of-card contact info.

Due to the complexity of the group campaign, we recommend working with our Account Managers on creating your campaign.

  1. Download the CSV template for preparing contacts.
  2. Group all of your agent’s contact lists into a single audience list.
  3. OPTIONAL: Add custom messaging from your real estate agents or get our help with dynamic content creation.
  4. Select 2-3 card design packs to print. Card fronts will be printed randomly from the options you select.
  5. Select a consistent Holiday Greeting (and font) for the inside of all cards.

Your account manager will handle everything else and even guide you through any troubles you might have with data collection.

How much do Holiday Cards cost?

1,000 Christmas Cards start at $0.95 for personalized printing and addressing. Additional costs for postage and agent-by-agent personalization are not included.

Use our Direct Mail Campaign Calculator to get a quick estimate on a card campaign. You will want to select Personalized Mail from the filters and view the Invitation/Holiday Card format pricing. This will give you a starting point of the campaign – the pricing shown is for an individual agent campaign and does not include additional fees that will be assigned to

There are a couple of optional fees to consider when doing a group direct mail campaign like this. You can do some of these internally or hand them to our team for help.

  • Personalization by agent:  $25/agent.
    • Includes the addition of a customized message from the agent.
    • Includes potential to add a custom signature for the agent.
  • Personalized signature image prep (see instructions below).
  • Custom data work if required.
  • Selection of additional card designs.
  • Customization of existing Christmas Card Designs
  • Custom-designed Christmas Cards*

What do you need to prepare?

While we handle as much as possible, you must provide a few things for the campaign to go smoothly.

1. Properly Formatted Contact List

As mentioned above, you do need to prepare the combined contact list. We have created a sample CSV for you to use as a template. Download it here and have your agents provide info this way. CRMS will be able to export contact data with all of the required addressing fields.

Addressing info must be formatted correctly. We do run all addressed lists through the National Change of Address to remove bad addresses – moved, deceased, incorrect, etc.

2. Properly Formatted Custom Messaging

If you opt to give your agents the ability to add a custom message to the Christmas Card, you will need to include that information in the template CSV.

  • Custom holiday messages should be under 150 words.
  • We can add the recipient’s name as a unique customization field.

Looking for a data wizard to help out with advanced personalization in the messaging? Let us connect you to our strategy partner, Boost2Business. Their team can work with you to create amazing custom messaging based on your CRM data and potential custom fields.

3. Custom Signature Images

If you want to add unique sign-off signatures at the end of the holiday greeting (inside, right panel), you can do that! A PNG file needs to be prepared for each agent. Here’s a simple way to do it:

  1. Have agents write their signature on a white piece of paper.
  2. Use a scanner or scanner app like Scanner Pro to capture each signature
  3. Apply a black-and-white adjustment to ensure all the “noise” is removed.
  4. Crop the background to eliminate extra white space.
  5. Name the file with the agent name
  6. Save as a PNG.
