What is the NCOA database?

NCOA stands for National Change of Address and is a special database that has the most up-to-date address info for people across Canada. We use this to check audience lists provided to us to ensure that addresses are correct and that people still live in the locations you are providing. This also removes people that may be deceased or moved out of your trade area.

We use this to remove bad names & addresses or to correct poorly formatted addresses to ensure delivery.

How do I target Neighbourhoods?

You can use our Neighbour Mail Audience Builder to target select neighbourhoods. Here’s a short 2-minute demo on how to target a neighbourhood, including adding demographic filters.

Note you only need to outline the area you want to target. We will use the Precision Targeter tool to find your campaign’s matching neighbourhoods and households.

What is the typical turnaround time for campaigns to be printed and delivered?

  • Turnaround times vary but generally range from 7-14 business days from order confirmation to delivery.

How does PostNow work?

We simplified direct mail campaign ordering by putting together a “campaign in a box” solution that saves you time and cost on direct mail campaigns under 100,000 pieces.

  1. Build your direct mail campaign
  2. Pay for your campaign (print, data & postage fees all included)
  3. Request design changes
  4. Approve your campaign design & data/audience target
  5. Sit back and relax

How do I use Canada Post’s Precision Targeter with PostNow?

  • Precision Targeter is integrated with PostNow. Input your desired audience criteria, and the tool will suggest optimal routes or postal codes.
  • More details are available on Canada Post’s Precision Targeter.

How can I use the free templates to design my direct mail piece?

Access the Direct Mail Design Library to select and customize templates.

How long does it take my campaign to be delivered?

From order to delivery can be as quick as eight business days for a Neighbourhood Mail campaign.

Once your campaign is inducted to a Canada Post facility, you can expect your campaign to be delivered based on the current Smartmail Marketing delivery standards. This information is found on pages 3-5 here – Canada Post Smartmail Marketing Delivery Standards.

Due to the complexity of determining when your campaign can reach homes, please feel free to contact our team for more details on your particular campaign.
